jedi.lists.DAT-heads - Digital Audio Tape Users mailing list

DAT-heads is a digestified mailing list that concerns itself with Digital Audio Tape decks, with an emphasis on their use for the recording and distribution of live music.

You must be subscribed to this mailing list in order to send messages to it. To subscribe to DAT-heads, send a message to 'dat-heads-subscribe@datheads.phish.net' with the word 'subscribe' as the body of the message. A confirmation message will be generated and you must respond in order to start receiving digests and be able to post to the list.

jedi.lists.amanda - Amanda Backup Management System Users mailing list

Amanda is the Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk Archiver, a backup system that allows the administrator of a LAN to set up a single master backup server to back up multiple hosts to a single large capacity tape drive.

The amanda-users mailing list is for questions and general discussion about the Amanda Network Backup Manager. To subscribe to the mailing list, send a message to 'amanda-users-request@amanda.org' with 'subscribe your-email-address' as the body of the message. I'm not sure if this list requires another confirmation email to be sent back before a subscription becomes effective.

jedi.lists.ausrave - Australian Raves mailing list

Ausrave is a mailing list catering for the Australian rave scene. I'm very much into raves and rave culture (go to my Zonavar page to learn more), so I like to read and post to this list.

To subscribe to ausrave, send an email to 'ausrave-request@ausrave.net.au' with the word 'subscribe' in the body of the message. A confirmation message will be generated and you must respond in order to start receiving digests and be able to post to the list.

jedi.lists.current-users - NetBSD Current Source Snapshot Users mailing list

The NetBSD Current Users mailing list is a forum for all people using an up-to-date version of the NetBSD-current source tree. It is a good forum for talking about `gotchas' in the tree. Since the NetBSD-current tree is a quickly moving target, please confirm any problems with the latest tree before posting.

To subscribe, click on the respective link next to the list's name in the description section of the NetBSD mailing lists index.

jedi.lists.info-solbourne - Solbourne Computer Hardware Enthusiasts mailing list

The Info-Solbourne mailing list is a forum for all people with an interest in computer hardware produced by Solbourne up to the time they stopped manufacturing hardware in 1994. Their machines were based on Sparc processors designed by Sun Microsystems, and they had true symetric multi-processing support in their version of Unix long before Sun ever got it to work properly in Solaris 2.x!

To subscribe, send an email message to 'listserv@listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu with 'subscribe info-solbourne' as the body.

jedi.lists.magick - ImageMagick Software Package Users mailing list

The ImageMagick mailing lists are low noise and subject oriented lists relating to the discussion of ImageMagick software and its use. Although the lists are unmoderated, do not post off-topic or test messages to the lists. Off-topic messages will result in the offender being silently removed from the lists and prevented from rejoining.

The list gated on Jedi is the ImageMagick user mailing list. There are two others - announce and developer - which are also available but aren't gated into local newsgroups.

You should be subscribed to ImageMagick user mailing list in order to send messages to it. To subscribe, send a message to 'majordomo@imagemagick.org' with the word 'subscribe magick-user' as the body of the message.

jedi.lists.mysql - MySQL Database Management System mailing list

MySQL is a full-featured freeware database package for Unix systems. The main MySQL mailing list is gated here on Jedi, but there are many others covering more specialised topics.

You should be subscribed to the MySQL user mailing list in order to send messages to it. To subscribe, send a message to 'mysql-subscribe@lists.mysql.com. Only the address to which you send your messages is significant. The subject line and the body of the message are ignored.
